Performance Audit
The same business — measured on two foundations.
A side-by-side Lighthouse comparison of the current Climate Heroes website and a modern rebuild on production-grade infrastructure. Measured May 23, 2026.
Current Platform
WordPress + Elementor on shared hosting infrastructure. The technical foundation is sophisticated — LocalBusiness schema, GeoCoordinates, llms.txt, Open Graph, Twitter Card all correctly implemented.
The constraint is that the foundation is built right, but the business does not yet appear in the language model answers that are now intermediating commercial HVAC queries.
Proposed Platform
Next.js on Vercel edge infrastructure. Same schema work, properly delivered. Performance ceiling removed — Lighthouse 95+ achievable instead of capped in the 30s by stack overhead.
Fully managed — no CMS to log into, no code to maintain. The discipline is ours; the business is yours.
Lighthouse — lab measurements
Two devices, two foundations.
Lighthouse measures performance under controlled conditions. Mobile and desktop are scored independently — the same URL is measured for both, only the connection profile changes.

How language models see your business
Field data — measured from actual LLM queries.
The HVAC industry has unusually entrenched brand competitors in the Atlanta metro — Coolray, Estes, Moncrief, Anytime, Precision — companies with five decades or more of online presence, thousands of reviews, and saturated brand citation in language model training data.
We asked Claude — the language model behind ChatGPT’s most direct competitor — three commercial queries a prospect would actually ask:
- 01
“Best HVAC companies in Suwanee”
Eight competing companies named. Climate Heroes not mentioned.
- 02
“Emergency AC repair near Suwanee”
Seven competing companies named. Climate Heroes not mentioned.
- 03
“HVAC maintenance contractors Suwanee”
Seven competing companies named. Climate Heroes not mentioned.
Across three queries, twenty-two competing companies were named. Climate Heroes was named zero times.
The technical work to be visible has been done correctly. Schema markup, llms.txt, structured data — all present. The competitive challenge is brand signal: the legacy HVAC companies dominating the answers have decades of review accumulation, news mentions, and citation density that takes deliberate work to close.
This is the second audience now arriving at every business website. Human visitors on phones — and the language models answering questions about your business. A modern foundation gets the technical signals right. The retainer behind the rebuild does the ongoing work of building the citation density and content strategy that closes the gap over time.
What this gap is worth
Conservative math, based on industry-standard conversion benchmarks.
Performance Gap
+68 pts mobile
+59 pts desktop
Measured by Google's own tool.
Conversion Impact
15–30%
Typical conversion lift from fixing LCP under 2.5 seconds, per Google's published research.
Projected Annual Revenue Lift
Per city rebuilt
$8K–$16K
Estimated lift per city, prorated to that city’s share of ad spend.
Full funnel rebuild (10 cities)
$80K–$160K
Across all rebuilt service-area landing pages, from the same ad spend.
Revenue projections are conservative estimates based on Google’s published Core Web Vitals research and HVAC industry conversion benchmarks, and assume $20K/mo in Google Ads spend, 70% mobile traffic, and a $450 average ticket. Actual results depend on ad spend levels, market conditions, and traffic mix.
The honest read
What is working — and worth preserving.
Climate Heroes has clear service area positioning across Suwanee, Alpharetta, and surrounding North Atlanta. The BBB A+ accreditation and family-owned framing are real trust signals that paid acquisition reinforces correctly. The schema markup work on the current site is unusually well-executed for a WordPress install — fourteen schema types including LocalBusiness, GeoCoordinates, and OpeningHoursSpecification are all properly structured. The marketing strategy is sound.
A rebuild is not a rejection of any of this. It is the infrastructure underneath, replaced — so that twenty years of Trane-trained operational discipline finally renders fast enough to convert the clicks already being paid for. The schema work already done transfers cleanly. The ongoing GEO and citation work, that the legacy competitors have decades of advantage on, is what the retainer pays for.
The bottom line
Twenty years of operational discipline — running on a foundation that caps the result.
EdgeReport is the engagement behind this page: a fixed-fee rebuild of the site, the lead infrastructure, and the programmatic SEO pages on production-grade hosting — fully managed. Performance and GEO measured monthly. The discipline is ours; the business is yours. If the gap above is worth closing, the next step is a thirty-minute conversation.
